I designed the app and brand for Onit, a task and event management tool. My goal was to create a minimalistic and functional solution that helps teams efficiently manage tasks on large projects.
The Onit app streamlines task and event management for teams working on large projects. My aim was to develop a fast, user-friendly interface that minimizes complexity and maximizes productivity.
I eliminated dropdown menus to speed up data entry and create a simpler, more intuitive interface. I designed Onit to be quick and easy to use daily, with a minimal learning curve for maximum efficiency.
The home screen offers an overview of all tasks, with filters for teams and progress tracking. This helps teams stay organized and monitor their progress effectively.
Colored bubbles represent data categories, making it easy to distinguish them. Swipe or click bubbles to navigate between screens. Use the priority slider to set and compare task priorities, enhancing management efficiency.
I enabled managers to assign tasks to teams and members, improving clarity and collaboration.
The stats screen provides a clear overview of task completion and velocity, helping users see the big picture.
When a task is marked as high-priority, it triggers alerts with alarms, ensuring immediate attention. These alerted tasks are highlighted with a red border for quick identification. Tasks without photos are automatically displayed with the team’s icon and a gradient background, maintaining visual consistency.
I allowed users to reorder task-data-bubbles in the creation flow, making frequently used items easily accessible.
The dynamic logo “On it” symbolizes speed and task acceptance, reflecting the app's efficiency. By using color strategically, I enhance recognition and create a celebratory atmosphere, capturing the essence of events as moments of celebration and embodying the app's vibrant identity.
Interact with the prototype below by clicking on the screen. Some buttons are interactive and will guide you through the user flow of the Onit app. To keep the prototype simple and focused on the core functionality, not all buttons are interactive. The clickable buttons are highlighted in blue.
